Truth and Tolerance
Today’s Bible Teachings and the song is about TRUTH and NOT TOLERANCE!  In John 14:6 (AMP) Jesus himself said that He is the truth “Jesus said to him, “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” The word of God is truth “Sanctify them in the truth [set them apart for Your purposes, make them holy]; Your word is truth.” John 17:17 (AMP). It is truth that sets men free from the bondage of sin “And you will know the truth [regarding salvation], and the truth will set you free [from the penalty of sin].” John 8:32 (AMP).

Truth does “coexist” with “Tolerance”. Truth is absolute and is the true Light, there is not grey or shady area with Tuth because as true and sincere Christians we are grounded and rooted in Truth which is Jesus.
Tolerance and coexist are grounded in nothing and have no roots, Francis Schaeffer said this “the champions or moral relativism have both feet firmly planted in mid-air” and Will Herberg had this to say “ The attempt made in recent decades by secularist thinkers to disengage the moral principles of western civilization from their scripturally based religious context, in the assurance that they could live a life of their own as “humanistic” ethics, has resulted in our “cut flower culture.” Cut flowers retain their original beauty and fragrance, but only so long as they retain the vitality that they have drawn from their now-severed roots; after that is exhausted, they wither and die. So with freedom, brotherhood, justice, and personal dignity — the values that form the moral foundation of our civilization. Without the life-giving power of the faith out of which they have sprung, they possess neither meaning nor vitality.”

Many “Christians” have allowed Satan to put the tap of tolerance on their mouth and have become just like the church in Thyatira (Revelation 2:18-20). Have we become brainwashed into believeing the lie of tolerance and coexist? If so we need to repent and be the truth to a world that has believed in a lie. We need to STAND UP FOR JESUS!

Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus
(Text: George Duffield, Jr., 1818-1888
Music: George J. Webb, 1803-1887 )

1.           Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
ye soldiers of the cross;
lift high his royal banner,
it must not suffer loss.
From victory unto victory
his army shall he lead,
till every foe is vanquished,
and Christ is Lord indeed.

2.           Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
the trumpet call obey;
forth to the mighty conflict,
in this his glorious day.
Ye that are brave now serve him
against unnumbered foes;
let courage rise with danger,
and strength to strength oppose.

3.           Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
stand in his strength alone;
the arm of flesh will fail you,
ye dare not trust your own.
Put on the gospel armor,
each piece put on with prayer;
where duty calls or danger,
be never wanting there.

4.           Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
the strife will not be long;
this day the noise of battle,
the next the victor’s song.
To those who vanquish evil
a crown of life shall be;
they with the King of Glory
shall reign eternally.

Tolerant Thyatira
“And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; . . . I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee.” (Revelation 2:18-20)

The Lord Jesus’ letter to the church at Thyatira is the longest among the seven recorded in Revelation. Although they were faithful in their works to the city, had a strong charity among themselves, and were evidently growing in their reputation and perhaps even in number, the Lord Jesus used some very harsh language to rebuke their behavior.

Whether or not the woman who held influence in the church was actually named Jezebel, she had entrenched herself as a prophetess. Her namesake in the Old Testament (1 Kings) was the wicked queen and wife of King Ahab of Israel during the days of Elijah. Her evil deeds are recorded throughout seven chapters—more than any other woman in Israel’s history!

The Jezebel of Thyatira had been allowed “to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols” (Revelation 2:20). It is not clear if the Lord spoke of physical fornication among the church members, but the practice of sacrificing to idols was a serious rebellion against the second commandment and a clear violation of God’s Word (Exodus 20:4-5).

Those who were committing “adultery with her” (Revelation 2:22) had entered into “the depths of Satan” (Revelation 2:24). Whether this behavior was a physical practice or not (as was common among the pagan religions of the day), it is most certainly identified as spiritual adultery when those who name the name of Christ worship other gods (Jeremiah 3:1, 20; Hosea 9:1; etc.). May God protect us from such horrible leadership. HMM III
