Today’s Bible Teaching and the song is about our warfare with Satan and his army. Our country is fractured and broken and the news bears witness to that fact and if you can not see that then you are blind or have your head in the sand. Satan has, is and will deceive many and is will continue to gain more ground daily. That is why we are are sincere followers of Jesus must  “Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses.” 1 Timothy 6:12

I believe that America will not be defeated by any outside enemy force but will implode. Just like the Bible says in Mark 3:24 ” If a kingdom is divided [split into factions and rebelling] against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.” This is what has and is happening in the USA. But not only in the USA but also in our Churches and families, Mark 3:25 says “And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.” Once the walls have collapsed and there is no protection the enemy now comes in, Mark 3:27 says “But no one can go into a strong man’s house and steal his property unless he first overpowers and ties up the strong man, and then he will ransack and rob his house.”

Many “Christians” have become lazy and have dropped their guard, Charles Spurgeon said “If you will tell me when God permits a Christian to lay aside his armor, I will tell you when Satan has left off temptation. Like the old knights in wartime, we must sleep with helmet and breastplate buckled on, for the arch-deceiver will seize our first unguarded hour to make us his prey.”
WAKE UP CHRISTIAN !!!

Put your armor on with His strength and engage the enemy with His power. “A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.” Eph 6:10-11 and what are our battle instructions “Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.” Eph 6:18

Warrior (Steven Curtis Chapman)

I see the smoke on the horizon
I feel my heart pounding in my chest
I hear the war raging all around me
And somehow I feel like I was born for this
I can taste the fear, but I choose courage
As I raise my shield and lift my sword

And I fall on my knees and I fight like a warrior
I am a warrior on my knees
I call on the Name of the One Who is Conqueror
I’m more than a conqueror when I believe
The enemy trembles every time
‘Cause he knows the battle is no longer mine
When I fall on my knees and I fight like a warrior, like a warrior, oh, oh, oh

Daughters and sons, we can hear your calling
Broken and weak, we can hear your cry
And even though our enemy roars like a lion
The Lion of Judah is on our side
And He will go before us and behind us
Fighting on the left and on the right

So I fall on my knees and I fight like a warrior
I am a warrior on my knees
I call on the Name of the One Who is Conqueror
I’m more than a conqueror when I believe
The enemy trembles every time
‘Cause he knows the battle is no longer mine
When I fall on my knees and I fight like a warrior, like a warrior, like a warrior

Our weapons are trust, our weapons are hope
In the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords
He says, “I am with you so don’t be afraid
‘Cause I’ve already won this war.”
So fall on your knees and fight with me
We are the Warriors when we are on our knees
The enemy trembles…

We will fall on our knees and fight like a warrior
We are the Warriors on our knees
We call on the Name of the One Who is Conqueror
We’re more than conquerors when we believe
The enemy trembles every time
‘Cause he knows the battle isn’t yours or mine
When we fall on our knees and fight like a warrior, like a warrior
We are warriors on our knees
We are the warriors, we are Warriors, we are Warriors on our knees

Jesus!
Calling on the Name of Jesus!
Power in the Name of Jesus!
Calling on the Name of Jesus!
Power in the Name of Jesus!
Calling on the Name of Jesus!
Power in the Name of Jesus!
Calling on the Name of Jesus!
Power in the Name of Jesus!

By Charles Spurgeon

“Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.”
Matthew 4:1

A holy character does not avert temptation–Jesus was tempted. When Satan tempts us, his sparks fall upon tinder; but in Christ’s case, it was like striking sparks on water; yet the enemy continued his evil work. Now, if the devil goes on striking when there is no result, how much more will he do it when he knows what inflammable stuff our hearts are made of. Though you become greatly sanctified by the Holy Ghost, expect that the great dog of hell will bark at you still. In the haunts of men we expect to be tempted, but even seclusion will not guard us from the same trial. Jesus Christ was led away from human society into the wilderness, and was tempted of the devil. Solitude has its charms and its benefits, and may be useful in checking the lust of the eye and the pride of life; but the devil will follow us into the most lovely retreats. Do not suppose that it is only the worldly-minded who have dreadful thoughts and blasphemous temptations, for even spiritual-minded persons endure the same; and in the holiest position we may suffer the darkest temptation. The utmost consecration of spirit will not insure you against Satanic temptation. Christ was consecrated through and through. It was his meat and drink to do the will of him that sent him: and yet he was tempted! Your hearts may glow with a seraphic flame of love to Jesus, and yet the devil will try to bring you down to Laodicean lukewarmness. If you will tell me when God permits a Christian to lay aside his armour, I will tell you when Satan has left off temptation. Like the old knights in war time, we must sleep with helmet and breastplate buckled on, for the arch-deceiver will seize our first unguarded hour to make us his prey. The Lord keep us watchful in all seasons, and give us a final escape from the jaw of the lion and the paw of the bear.
